How we create our pieces

At MURI, ethics isn’t a buzzword — it is the foundation of everything we do. We believe in creating fashion that feels good, not just on your skin, but in your soul. We choose to work with local artisans who handmake our clothing instead of large factories, supporting generational craft and providing fair, dignified work in communities across India. Many of our pieces are made by women — including widows and caregivers — whose artistry and resilience inspire us daily. We use recycled, upcycled, and responsibly sourced fabrics, minimizing waste at every step. Every scrap is cherished. Every decision is intentional. We don’t overproduce, we don’t rush, and we don’t cut corners. This is slow fashion in its truest form — rooted in respect for people, planet, and process. MURI is a reminder that fashion can be beautiful and kind. And that the most meaningful pieces are the ones made with care, by real hands, with real stories behind them.
